"Mentalising" ability - (the technical term for judging what another person is thinking.) Scientists have found a direct link between the size of the orbital frontal cortex - the part of the brain just above the eyes - and the number of friends a person has. The findings, published in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B, revealed that those with the most friends had the strongest "mentalising" skills and largest orbital frontal cortex.
